What do you want?
You want money. You want a relationship. You want people to love you. You want to achieve your dreams. You want the perfect career. You want a family. You want a big house. You want great friends….the fancy car… Happiness… Joy….etc
We want everything. We want it now AND we want it in a certain order. We also want to know what day it will arrive to make sure it fits perfectly in the plan.
But It’s not happening that way. It’s hard. And sometimes – even when you’re surrounded by people – you feel alone.
Antidote – something that prevents or counteracts injurious or unwanted effects.
Queen – a woman eminent in rank, power, or attractions; the most powerful chess piece.
AntiQueen is about seeking and offering support and encouragement. This is a place for real and unfiltered views of life. Because I am fresh out of sugar for coating.
Everyone wants to give “good advice” and tell us how to be better. BUT NO ONE IN THE WORLD KNOWS WHAT YOU NEED IN YOUR LIFE BETTER THAN YOU DO. Sometimes we want to wallow in our sadness a little longer. Sometimes we want to frolic in the right now. And when we truly want to do better, something clicks and you just DO IT.
AntiQueen is a safe place to unleash that vulnerability. A place to be bold. To find remedy for our fears and learn to live the life we deserve.
Be the most powerful piece in the game of life.
This is my journey to self-discovery, self-confidence, self-efficacy – and all those other Psych words. I am learning to be myself. To love who, what, and where I am. In this very moment.

At 29.5 years old, I found the balls to admit I wasn’t completely happy. And I did something about it. AntiQueen is an outlet. I needed somewhere to express my thoughts and talk about what bothers me – people, fears I try to hide, things I don’t want to admit, my feelings, and my happiness.
I’m a National Board Certified Counselor and I have a Master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance. I am also a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) Certified Practitioner. I have worked in the counseling field my entire career-about six years. I’ve studied what causes people to stress and how people change. Counselors do not change clients, give advice, or solve problems. Counselors create an environment where clients can examine their thoughts, feelings, and actions, and eventually arrive at solutions best for them. That is the basis behind in my writing. AntiQueen is the environment to help us arrive at our own unique solution or ANTIDOTE.
I’m empathetic and compassionate, practical and realistic, and I prefer introversion (ISFJ). Quiet is in my top three favorite things OF ALL TIME. I am single. Almost THIRTY and SINGLE. I have four sisters and one brother, but my favorite person in the world is my baby Belle. She is an 8-year-old 101 lb boxer/bullmastiff mix angel. We rescued each other almost five years ago. We live in Jackson, MS along with the rest of my family.
I believe in God. I love Jesus but I cuss a little. Especially in my car. Sometimes road rage gets the best of me. He knows my heart.
I’m a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc and Mississippi State University Alumna. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, and hanging out with friends=partying. I’m also forced to enjoy dog petting and long walks outside. My right arm is very strong from trying to keep a tight grip on Belle’s leash. She tries to get away to eat the neighbors’ cats.
